About the projectMovement were initially appointed to advise Coca Cola in the definition of the experience for site visitors on both tablet and mobile, for the Western Europe (WEBU) brand sites, such as www.cocacola.co.uk and www.cocacola.nl. This role changed rapidly to be far more all-encompassing, with Movement appointed as the lead agency, and responsible for the definition of the entire digital experience, including research, UX, interface design, on-going content strategy and the project management and co-ordination of the front-end and back-end build, integration and deployment.
- To align stakeholders across Marketing, Brand, Content, Technology and IT; multiple agencies and internal delivery teams; and 14 markets’ user journey and content requirements
- Harmonise the look and feel with Coca-Cola brand campaigns (there were no digital guidelines – these were in development at the time)
- Work with existing Coca-Cola technology and platforms
- Co-ordination of multiple agencies who were based across multiple timezones to ensure project remained on time and all key milestones met
The design template developed for the WEBU brand site project has gone on to be used to define the look of all Global .com sites for Coca-Cola.
We are now midway through advising further on implementing the content strategy across all 14 countries in Western Europe as well as defining the UX/Design approach for other Brand sites including Fanta and working on the integration of additional sites to the core platform
